Most underwear sold online is made in one place, branded in another and described in a third. The country of origin is a line in the fine print, added after the fact. REBELJOCK is built the other way round: the place came first and the brand grew out of it.

Why Medellín

Medellín has been Colombia's textile city for roughly a century. That history is not decoration — it means the knit mills, the trim suppliers, the elastic vendors and the sewing workshops all sit inside the same valley, often inside the same few neighbourhoods.

For a small brand that matters more than cost. It means a sample can be cut on a Tuesday, corrected on a Wednesday and re-cut on a Thursday, because the person sewing it is a twenty-minute drive away and not eleven time zones behind.

Where the work happens

• Itagüí, Envigado and Sabaneta — small and mid-size talleres de confección specialising in knitwear and underwear.
• El Hueco and the Galerías de Ayacucho — where telas and insumos are sourced: stretch knits, elastic, binding, labels.
• The Aburrá Valley generally — close enough that every stage of the first run can be seen in person.

What we will not claim

REBELJOCK has not shipped a production run yet. There is no factory partnership to boast about, no ethical certification hanging on a wall, no numbers to quote about workers or wages. What exists today is sampling, a set of specs, and a standard for inspection — AQL 2.5 — that the first run will be held to.
